LONELY

Standing alone,
In the middle of the city
Refugee looks around him
He hardly recognizes what he sees
because he’s a man from the past

Twelve years ago
This was his home
Rivers used to run here
Birds used to fly around here
But now it is a different country
A foreign country
dead bodies lies around,
Homes toned apart,
Schools brought down
Funny smell all around

He' s a lonely man
In the middle of the city
Missing home so badly

Man' s own creation
Has become his worst enemy
Weapons of mass destruction
Have brought about
Human extinction,
Refugees wonder down the street,
Where every one is an orphan,
Where everyone is a widow,
Where everyone is a victim
He looks around him,
He hardly recognize what he sees

Twelve years ago
this was his home
Peace used to be spread here
Love used to circulate around here
but now it is a different country
a foreign country

He’s a lonely man
In the middle of the city
missing home so badly
